Kentucky Power looking to add more wind, solar and thermal facilities to power eastern Ky.

Three Requests for Proposal from eastern Kentucky-based utility Kentucky Power say the company is looking into buying more wind, solar and thermal energy sources for homes in the region.

The requests say the company is looking to buy new or existing sources connected to the PJM electricity transmission grid. That also includes a battery storage facility.
