Kentucky Bourbon Trail Expands, Boosting Tourism And Economy

Kentucky Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman speaks before a gathering to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville, Ky., Thursday, June 20, 2024

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail has evolved over the years, now boasting 46 distilleries that offer visitors a diverse range of bourbon-making experiences. Originally established with seven distilleries 25 years ago, the trail has grown into a premier tourism destination, attracting over 18 million visitors from across the globe.

The recent unveiling of the revamped Bourbon Trail aims to highlight both established brands like Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, and Wild Turkey, as well as smaller distilleries seeking recognition in the competitive spirits market. This consolidation of tours is part of a new tourism and marketing strategy that includes a fresh logo and digital campaign to assist tourists in planning their bourbon-themed trips.
