Kent man charged with sexual assaults during physiotherapy treatments

A Kent physiotherapist has been charged with sexually assaulting five women during treatments.

Purnoor Bawa is alleged to have touched five victims inappropriately over a six-year period.

In a statement on Monday, Kent Police said the 43-year-old, from Gravesend, had been charged with seven counts of sexual assault.

“Purnoor Bawa, 43, is reported to have touched five victims inappropriately between 2013 and 2019,” said police.

“Following a complex investigation by detectives from the North Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, the Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised seven charges of sexual assault against him.”

Bawa is due to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 12.
