Kenny Miller reckons Dundee United might well find themselves on the end of another 7-0 this season if they don't pull their defensive act together. Because he thinks Celtic and Rangers are better than the Alkmaar team who tore them apart in the Netherlands.
Jack Ross and his team went from euphoria to abject misery in Alkmaar with the Dutch cracks overturning their Tannadice deficit in some style. They rattled seven past United to advance to the playoff round and Ross now has a job on his hands to pick his team up for Sunday's clash with Hearts.
Former Rangers and Celtic striker Miller, speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard , reckons Glasgow's big two are superior to Alkmaar and fears it's a distinct possibility that United could end up taking a second seven-goal thrashing at Ibrox or Parkhead. He said: "I would say they (Alkmaar) are not as good, It has happened before (against Rangers and Celtic), Boydy scored five at Ibrox, I actually got sent off and we were down to 10 men and we won 7-0, 7-1 it might've been.
"It's happened before and it'll happen again because Rangers and Celtic are capable of doing that to anybody in the league. All these words, 'mauling' and 'humiliating' will be used and will be again, then you move on because the next game is three days later.
"Jack has the chance now to go to Hearts and try and put that to bed. It'll be tough because Hearts are a good team but they'll demand a response."
