Kenny Dalglish insists Rangers need unity if they are to be successful amid ongoing division between a section of the fans and key figures at the club.
Supporters have targeted sporting director Ross Wilson and managing director Stewart Robertson with protests in recent weeks. But Scotland and Celtic legend Dalglish, who held a scouting position at Ibrox himself for a brief spell, says the club can’t make changes just to “appease fans”.
The 72-year-old, writing in his Sunday Post column, pointed to a unity across the city at Celtic where things are going swimmingly. Dalglish said: "Right now, there is a bit of unrest, and the likes of sporting director, Ross Wilson, and one or two of the hierarchy are in the firing line. But it’s hard to know who to apportion blame to when the inner-workings of the club aren’t known.
