Kendrick Lamar at Glastonbury 2022 - what time is he performing and how to watch

Kendrick Lamar is set to wow Glastonbury Festival-goers this year with a set on the famous Pyramid stage.

The American will top the billing on the final day of the festival, following Billie Eilish on the Friday and Beatles legend Paul McCartney on Saturday.

Kendrick, 35, will be the last act of Sunday, following Diana Ross, Elbow and Lorde on the main stage.

Lamar's turn on the stage could cap this off nicely for Glastonbury this year, in what festival organisers will be hoping is a triumphant return for the first edition since 2019 thanks to the pandemic.

Lamar will be showing off his mammoth hits like N95, Die Hard and Humble.

So what time is he performing and how can you watch?

Kendrick Lamar will take to the Pyramid stage on Sunday, June 26 at 9.45pm.

The rap mega-star is to play an hour and a half set lasting until 11.15pm.

There are no tickets for Glastonbury left this year so anyone attempting to go last minute will be wasting a journey. For those attending the festival, getting to the stage early will be ideal for getting the best view as Kendrick blazes through DNA, King Kunta and LOYALTY.

The rapper hails from Compton, California, the southern Los Angeles city famed for producing some of hip-hop's very best like Coolio, Dr Dre and Ice Cube.

How can I watch Kendrick Lamar at Glastonbury?

The BBC will have full coverage of Kendrick Lamar's headline set at Glastonbury this year.

Coverage will start on BBC Two at 9.30pm, around 15 minutes before Kendrick is scheduled to go on stage and it will run to midnight.

Of Lamar, the BBC said he is "one of the biggest names and most distinctive voices in hip-hop".

It added: "Expect to be blown away by a gripping and powerful performance that showcases the MC’s exceptional lyrical talent and music that continually pushes boundaries."

Festival organiser Michael Eavis told BBC sounds he is confident of a good reception to the show this year.

He said: "We’re going to run a really brilliant show this year, and it’s going to be the best show ever I’m quite sure.

"People are so excited to come back… they’re really looking forward to coming back… it’s going to be quite the exceptional event."

The BBC show will also have highlights of some of the other Glastonbury performers, "including Northern Irish dance duo Bicep, Mercury Prize-shortlisted artist Charli XCX, and Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett, as the festival comes to a close for another year", it said.
