Kendall Jenner Closes Bottega Veneta's Spring 2027 Show a Decade After Her First Runway for the House

Kendall Jenner walked last at Bottega Veneta's Spring/Summer 2027 show at Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, September 26, closing Louise Trotter's third collection for the house in a floor-length black gown. Her Bottega Veneta runway appearance arrives a decade after she first walked for the label in February 2016, and it gave the show its final image.

The look was all about volume and drape. Jenner's black gown was asymmetrical, with fabric gathered across the bodice and hips, an exaggerated shoulder and a long, scarf-like panel falling down one side. Dazed described the silhouette as toga-like, with a large bow knotted at the left shoulder. Her hair was worn straight and center-parted, and the styling was kept spare so the dress carried the moment. Vogue Italia, as reported by other outlets, described the design as deconstructed and made from a substantial black satin.

Closing a show is a deliberate casting choice, and this one fits a long relationship between Jenner and the house. Beyond that first 2016 runway, she fronted a Bottega Veneta paparazzi-style campaign for Pre-Spring 2024, shot in the tabloid manner the brand used under then-creative director Matthieu Blazy. She was also photographed among the guests at the house's Spring/Summer 2025 show. This time she was on the runway again, and this time she was the last look.

The setting matters as much as the dress. Trotter joined Bottega Veneta in early 2025 and showed her debut collection in Milan in September 2025. Spring/Summer 2027 is her third, and reviewers have focused on craft: intricate embroidery, delicate crochet and a renewed emphasis on the work of the house's in-house artisans. Who What Wear called it Trotter's best Bottega Veneta show to date, and also noted her use of hats, though it cautioned that it is too early to call them a defining accessory for the season. The brand has long been rooted in its workshop, and "bottega" itself means workshop. Trotter has spoken of wanting to present the house as something like a living person, and a gown built from folds and knots, rather than embellishment, sits comfortably inside that idea.

The front row added to the spectacle. Actor Jacob Elordi, a Bottega Veneta ambassador since 2024, was seated among the guests, alongside Tyler, the Creator, and Solange, according to Harper's coverage. Video from the show captured Elordi raising a camera to photograph Jenner as she walked. That clip has been widely circulated, and it is the reason the show is being searched as much for the front row as the runway.
