Kempegowda statue at Vidhana Soudha in a year: Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai

BENGALURU: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Monday a statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda will be installed on the Vidhana Soudha premises within a year.

At an event here to mark the 513th birth anniversary of Kempegowda, Bommai responded to the demand by Nirmalananda Swami of Adichunchungiri Mutt. "Bengaluru was built by Kempegowda and it's natural that his statue should be erected on the premises of Vidhana Soudha. Our government will do it," he said.
