Kemar Roofe has paid tribute to departing Scott Arfield and admits he still gets 'goosebumps' from the words he told him after joining Rangers.
The midfielder is one of five players to be leaving the club at the end of the season with his contract expiring. Michael Beale brought him off the bench at Ibrox midweek and he received a huge ovation from the crowd with a banner unfurled in his honour. He then joined Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Allan McGregor and Filip Helander on the pitch after with his team-mates giving a guard of honour before the fans showed further appreciation.
Following the match Arfield admitted he would love to play until he is 40 and would be open to any offers at this stage. Pundit Neil McCann tipped him as a 'super signing' for the likes of Hearts or Aberdeen but nothing on his next chapter in the game has been decided.

One man who will miss having the 34-year-old around is Roofe who has been stepping up his bid to get back to full fitness and be a big part of the summer rebuild.
Beale will have talks with 'one or two' other players over Ibrox futures while a host of new faces will arrive over the summer as the Ibrox men bid to dethrone Celtic and Ange Postecoglou while trying to qualify for the Champions League group stage once again.
Roofe is determined to be part of that, and as he paid a classy tribute to his departing pal, he told how he still gets 'goosebumps' from those early words Arfield spoke as he signed on under Steven Gerrard back in 2020.
He wrote on Instagram: "This guy said some powerful words to me when I signed for the club that still give me goosebumps now."
