Kelvin Fletcher reveals 'curveball' baby news ahead of new TV show showing different life from Emmerdale and Strictly

Kelvin Fletcher has shared some exciting baby news.

The former Emmerdale star appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday morning alongside his pregnant wife Liz Marsland.

And the pair revealed they're expecting twins.

Kelvin, 38, and actress Liz, who married in November 2015, already share daughter Marnie and son Milo.

Kelvin described the news they were expecting twins as a "curveball".

With the couple live in the studio, presenter Sally Nugent said: "You were already quite busy, weren’t you – before you took on a farm – with two young children? And you have news to share with us this morning."

Liz said: "We’re having two more children."

Kelvin added: "We just recently found out – to add another curveball, if you like.

"We don’t really do things by halves and then we found out we’re having not just one baby but two, so we are having twins. It was an absolute eye-opener."

Kelvin won the 2019 series of Strictly alongside professional partner Oti Mabuse after being a last-minute replacement for an injured Jamie Laing.

But he rose to fame playing Andy Sugden on ITV soap Emmerdale between 1996 and 2016.

Now, the expanding family will star in Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure which documents the experiences of the family as they move into a 120-acre 18th-century farm in the Peak District to start a farming business.

The new programme begins tonight (Monday) on BBC One at 8.30pm.

The six-part series was filmed last summer and Kelvin has been promoting the show on Instagram.

On Sunday he shared a clip to Instagram which showed the moment he won Strictly to getting to work on the farm.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast about how their two kids are feeling about life on the farm, Liz said: "It was different for them - it's a completely new place, new school, new people.

"And at first it was just a huge playground to them. And now, Marnie knows all the responsibilities, she knows what needs doing. She knows that this is a job now and we've got all these animals we need to look after."
