Kelly Holmes marks 'coming out' anniversary with party at Madonna's beloved London haunt

Dame Kelly Holmes said she was excited to mark her two year anniversary of "coming out", which coincided with the end of Pride Month, at the luxurious Home House private member's club in London's swanky Portman Square.

The Olympian partied with therapist girlfriend Louise Cullen, Radio Dj and Dancing On Ice star Adele Roberts, Kate Moss's superstar DJ pal Fat Tony and TV presenter Will Njobvu.

The historical and iconic venue, with its aesthetic described as "18th century splendour with 21st century style", is also famous for its stunning and opulent suites, including the Lady Islington room where Madonna resided while her London home was being renovated.

The elaborate club was also where Annie Lennox held her fairy-tale wedding.

"It's so fitting to celebrate here," Dame Kelly told the Standard. "Such a free and artistic place where everyone can be themselves in glamorous style.

“I came out two years ago and didn't attend things like Pride month parties, so it's all relatively new to me and I'm determined to catch up on lost time."

The athlete also told us she's planning to get stuck into travelling the world and revisiting all the countries she visited to compete but didn't get a chance to see outside the tracks.

"I'd love to return to countries I ran in as I didn't get to explore them," she said. "I want to see them properly and write about them and do travel pieces.

“But with a focus on the destinations that are LGBTQ friendly or have special places for us, like bars, restaurants, museums that celebrate our art - so UK editors listening you'll be hearing from me," she laughed.

Ahead of his DJ stint at Glastonbury this weekend, newly engaged Fat Tony had partygoers throwing shapes on the elaborate dancefloor.

Earlier this month he was joined by a string of stars, including Kate Moss and This Morning's Allison Hammond, for his engagement party to his partner Stavros Agapiou at The Londoner Hotel.

The 57-year-old, real name Tony Marnach, popped the question to his creative director boyfriend, 30, on a trip to New York City last October.
