Dublin Olympic hero Kellie Harrington has congratulated Katie Taylor on an "absolutely incredible" win.

She called the Bray native a "warrior" after the history-making fight.

The champion boxer was blown away by Katie's triumph over Amanda Serrano in Madison Square Garden.

Kellie tweeted: "Incredible, absolutely incredible. What a warrior KT."

Famous faces from across the country have been praising Katie for her hard work and dedication.

Former One Direction star, Niall Horan was also delighted to see Katie win in the iconic New York venue.

He tweeted: "What a performance from both ladies!! So happy for Katie Taylor."

Meanwhile, President Higgins congratulated Katie on her landmark achievement.

He tweeted: "Congratulations to Katie Taylor on retaining her world lightweight boxing titles.

"Another fantastic achievement in her monumental career."
