KEIR Starmer should maybe take a wee geography lesson before St George’s Day rolls around next year.
Don’t get us wrong, we all love seeing Scotland promoted although The Jouker didn’t expect to see it in a video celebrating England’s patron saint.
That’s right, in a video posted on the Labour leader’s twitter wishing all those south of the Border a “very happy St George’s Day”, a shot of Buchanan Street and the Finnieston Crane appears around a minute and 40 seconds into the video.
Naturally, Twitter users were quick to point out the slightly jarring feeling of seeing Glasgow in the video.
On behalf of the Labour Party, I wish everyone in England a very happy St George’s Day! pic.twitter.com/aE1MBVccqU

“Where in England is the Finnieston crane?”, asked one person.
Another added: “Breaking news: Starmer declares parts of Scotland are to be incorporated into an expanded England.”
“Someone please remind Keir that Scotland is not part of England”, said a third.
Another simply commented “oh dear oh dear”, while someone else compared the Labour leader to Alan Partridge.
Perhaps the Labour Party are so desperate to stay in the Union, they’ve simply decided their new strategy is to pretend one of Scotland’s major cities is part of England and hope for the best.
