Keir Starmer has blasted the Government for making "an absolute mess of the economy" as the International Monetary Fund issued a damning verdict of the Chancellor's tax-slashing mini-Budget.
In an extraordinary statement, the IMF said it was "closely monitoring" the situation in the UK and urged the Chancellor to "re-evaluate the tax measures".
It warned that Kwasi Kwarteng's plans risked fuelling inequality and pushing up prices.
