Labour leader Keir Starmer today told Lorraine viewers Tories defending Boris Johnson over Partygate were "pathetic."
Later today, Prime Minister Mr Johnson is expected to appear in front of Parliament to apologise for his actions during lockdown. On multiple occasions, he was accused of holding parties and breaking the laws he and his party implemented.
Mr Johnson was recently fined for a breach of the law. Sir Keir appeared on Lorraine this morning to talk about the situation before the PM's apology, labelling everything the Conservative party have done to protect Boris and his behaviour as nothing short of a "national disgrace."

He said: "It doesn't touch the sides of the human stories affected by this. Every family has an example of their own, something they didn't do such as looking after an elderly relative and that really hurt."
Lorraine quizzed the Labour leader on whether or not people wanted to move past the incident, implying they care more about "important" things such as the Ukrainian war.
Sir Keir said: "That's where the Tories want to take it. I also don't accept this argument some Conservatives are putting out there that it's like a speeding fine. It isn't like a speeding fine at all.
"In all my days, I've never had anybody break down in front of me because they couldn't drive 35 miles-per-hour in a 35 zone. I've had no end of people in tears, in real bits, complying with rules that really hurt them."
He added: "I don't think the public are going to accept this. I also think the pathetic display of Tory MPs going out to defend the indefensible is something to be ashamed of."
