Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to former loanee Keinan Davis getting on the scoresheet for his new club for the first time.
Davis spent the second half of last season on loan at the City Ground from Premier League side Aston Villa. The striker played a big part in the club’s promotion from the Championship via the play-offs at the end of the season.
He scored a total of five goals in 22 appearances for the club. Villa were said to be looking for a fee of around £15 million from the Reds to make the deal permanent.

Forest instead moved for strikers Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis. The former was on the scoresheet for Cooper’s men in the 3-2 loss against Fulham on Friday night, while the latter also played a part in Davis’ next move.
Upon selling Dennis to Forest, Championship side Watford moved for the Villa striker on loan until the end of the season. His campaign at Vicarage Road hasn’t quite gone to plan so far, with illness disrupting his pre-season.
But the striker was named in the starting line=up for Watford’s Championship clash against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon. The 34-year-old repaid his manager’s faith in him by opening the scoring in the 34th minute, although Aji Alese has since equalised for Sunderland.
After finding out about Davis’ first goal for his new club, Forest fans took to social media to give their reaction. Here’s what just some had to say.
