Keinan Davis makes Premier League pledge after Nottingham Forest transfer decision

Keinan Davis hopes he can help guide Watford back to the Premier League having achieved promotion with Nottingham Forest just a few months ago.

The Aston Villa striker joined the Hornets on loan after impressing during a stint at Forest last term as he helped Steve Cooper's side reach the top-flight through the play-offs. Having contributed to Villa's promotion back to the Premier League in 2019, Davis knows what it takes escape the Championship, though he's yet to make a name for himself in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest recruited 22 players in the summer and spent nearly £150million, but Davis didn't make his switch to the City Ground permanent after a brilliant loan spell. But that hasn't scuppered his dream of making it in the top-flight.

"I have two previous promotions, and hopefully I can get another one with Watford, get the opportunity to play in the Premier League, help the team stay there and keep building from there," Davis said after sealing his move to Vicarage Road.

"I’m really happy. I’m from Hertfordshire so I’m familiar with the surroundings. It’s good to be at a top club like Watford. Some people at my previous club know the gaffer here and they were saying he’s a really good guy. Watford speaks for itself, they should be in the Premier League so it didn’t take much to persuade me."
