Keanu Reeves can do no wrong in the eyes of his fans, whether it be in film or music – and now the touted "nicest man in Hollywood" is releasing a novel.
The Canadian has been most frequently seen in John Wick franchise films in recent years and last year’s Chapter 4 saw him utter only 380 words across nearly three hours.
By keeping schtum, he may have been saving his energy for his first album with Dogstar in more than 20 years – or perhaps, it has been confirmed, his debut literary outing.
He announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday that he has collaborated with British author China Miéville to pen The Book of Elsewhere.
The book is based upon the BRZRKR comic series, which the 59-year-old also co-wrote in 2021.
Reeves said: "I'm very excited for the opportunity to announce that I've partnered with one of my favourite authors, China Miéville, on the novel The Book of Elsewhere.
"The series tells the story of an immortal warrior's fight through the ages, and I love the world of BRZRKR so much that I wanted to explore it further and I thought one of the best ways to do that is through a novel."
The book is due for release in July, one month after Ballerina is released – a John Wick spin-off starring Ana de Armas. Reeves is also involved with John Wick spin-off TV series The Continental, which is set to return over three episodes.
The actor (and musician, and now writer!) is usually a leading man in films such as Speed and The Matrix but had an unlikely cameo appearance at a British wedding.
The film star was staying at Fawsley Hall hotel when he spotted James and Nikki Roadnight’s party and went to greet the (very) happy couple.
On the same trip to the UK, Reeves surprised pub-goers at The Fox and Hounds, Charwelton, when he had a pint and posed for pictures alongside punters.
