Everton face a battle to secure the signing of Hull City's Keane Lewis-Potter - if reports over their interest are correct.
According to Hull Live, the Blues' Premier League rivals Brentford are currently in the lead to secure the England Under-21 international's signature this summer having failed in their attempt to buy him 12 months ago.
There had been reports that Everton had made an initial offer of £2.5m for Lewis-Potter, which was said to have been dismissed. And Frank Lampard could be in need of new forward options if either Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin leave this summer, as is rumoured.

But the new report suggest that neither the Blues, Leeds United or West Ham United are in the running for the 21-year-old. Instead, it looks like Brentford are the favourites.
Hull Live state: "Reports linking City's Yorkshire rivals Leeds United with a move are understood to be wide of the mark, Hull Live understands, while claims suggesting Everton offered £2.5m as an initial bid were also incorrect. Another Premier League club are interested, but it's not the Toffees or Leeds, and a move to West Ham doesn't appear likely at this stage."
Lewis-Potter grabbed his first goal on the international stage earlier this month, finding the back of the net for England U21s against Kosovo. And speaking after the game, he admitted his goal would have raised his profile even further.
"Yes, it probably is," the youngster said. "I've played every single minute for Hull this season and enjoyed every minute of it. Now I've been with England, it's about preparing for these games and getting through them."
Lewis-Potter is currently valued at just under £11m according to transfermarkt, with Hull manager Shota Arveladze hopeful of convincing the in-demand forward to extend his stay in the Championship and snub a move to the Premier League.
