Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has “conspired to sabotage” the second phase of his Praja Sangrama yatra scheduled to begin from April 14 with “attacks in the guise of farmers”.
“I have received information about this, but we are not going to be scared of such attacks and will go ahead with the walkathon for the sake of the people of Telangana. I request the cadre to maintain their composure and not retaliate during such attacks by the TRS people,” he told a meeting to discuss the programme plan at the party office on Tuesday.
“While the yatra will seek to expose the ‘corrupt family rule in TS’, the party will also take up agitations against the power tariff hike, RTC fare spike and paddy procurement delays causing pain to the farmers,” he said. With regard to fuel price hike, the party president said that instead of criticising the Centre, the State Government can reduce taxes and help people.
