Kayvon Thibodeaux did so many snow angels while an injured Nick Foles writhed in pain

Kayvon Thibodeaux is having a solid rookie season for the New York Giants. He’s been a key component for one of the NFC’s most surprising playoff contenders. His sack of Nick Foles in the second quarter of Sunday’s showdown forced an Indianapolis Colts punt and marked his third sack in his last five games.

That, however, probably won’t be what we remember him for in Week 17. Instead, it’ll be the 10-plus second celebration that followed. That involved making non-existent snow angels on the bare turf of MetLife Stadium. Next to a clearly injured and writhing in pain Foles, who’d later be carted back to the locker room for further medical evaluation.

It was an interesting look for a player who earned his celebration but failed to read the room. Thibodeaux came off the edge untouched to flatten the Super Bowl 52 MVP:

 

Needless to say, fans and NFL writers had some feelings about the juxtaposition of ecstacy and agony churning inches away from each other in northern New Jersey.
