Loose Women star advised to get hearing aids after undergoing a series of tests before her appearance on the popular BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing. Kaye Adams has revealed that doctors found she is nearly deaf in one ear, and have told her to seek help.
One of Kaye's ears has a poor level hearing, whilst the other one is trying to compensate. She told The Sun that: "My hearing is an issue, to the extent that I’ve had full consultations and examinations on my ears. It’s probably getting to the stage where it’s getting problematic in certain situations."
Kaye added: "I have been recommended to get hearing aids. One ear in particular has a very poor level of hearing and the other one is trying it’s best to compensate" reports The Daily Mirror.

Over the last five years Kaye has said she has been "struggling" with her hearing, and last month opened up about the "scary" times during an episode of Loose Women last month. Speaking on the show, Kaye said: "For around five-ish years, maybe more, I have been aware that I've been struggling but you just make excuses."
Kaye explained that she had joked in the past about her hearing loss, but since realised it was starting to become more serious. She said: "Although you laugh that off, it is now beginning to get to me because, I think, I'm really missing things and I don't want to be a standing joke."
The ITV show featured a segment which showed Kaye visiting a doctor so that she could have her ears tested, before being told that she is losing her hearing in both ears. Going forward, the doctor advised her to wear a hearing aid in both ears.
Kaye opened up about the whole experience on her Instagram stories, writing: "Never thought I'd say I enjoyed an ear test but @ferazashraf made it easy and painless. Have to admit though his diagnosis was a shock."
Kaye was announced as the fourth celebrity to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing 2022. She will be following in the footsteps of her co-stars, including Ruth Langsford, Sunetra Sarker, Frankie Bridge, Christine Lampard, Gloria Hunniford, Judi Love, Penny Lancaster and Katie Piper.
Kaye said: "I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and I can’t think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!"
