The Los Angeles Clippers have been hit with sweeping NBA penalties over the Kawhi Leonard scandal, with the franchise fined $30 million (£22.2 million), owner Steve Ballmer suspended for a year and five first-round draft picks stripped away following a nearly year-long investigation into salary-cap circumvention.
Leonard has also been fined, although the six-time All-Star avoided suspension and remains eligible to play as the fallout threatens to reshape the Clippers for years.
