In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Katy Perry opened up about her royal experience staying at Windsor Castle during the coronation celebrations of King Charles and Queen Camilla in May. The American Idol judge shared that she brought her mother along, considering it the best gift she could give her. Perry and her glam team had an eventful day running through the palace to meet with the King and Queen for an American Idol segment. Despite getting momentarily lost and going the wrong way, Perry praised fellow judge Lionel Richie for orchestrating the bit, saying he could convince anyone to do anything.
Addressing a viral video of her looking lost at the coronation, Perry explained to Kimmel that there was no assigned seating for the event except for the first two rows. The Westminster Abbey coronation had open seating for most of the 2,200 guests, much to Kimmel's surprise. When asked about her large fascinator hat obstructing the view for those seated behind her, Perry humorously shook her head indicating their dismay.
