Katy Perry has left American Idol viewers completely baffled after acting strangely on the popular ABC talent show.
The Firework singer, 38, left fans confused and calling for her replacement after she pretended to be a cat while appearing as a judge on the show.
In a clip posted online in the week to tease the new episode, Katy could be seen rocking some ultra-tight leather trousers.
Looking sensational in the fitted outfit, Katy, who wore her raven locks down and straight, accessorised her look with some boots and an ornate black mesh top.
Pretending to be a cat, Katy left co-star and fellow judge Lionel Richie joking that she was the superhero Catwoman.
He explained how the judges were joined by "Catwoman", while Luke Bryan - who is also a judge on the show - dubbed the singer "Katy Purry".
Getting up out of her seat, Katy leant into the role of a cat even more when she put one foot on the table and said: "I’m ready to prowl for talent."
She then clawed at Luke and teased: "That’s me pawing."
But instead of fans going wild over how funny the clip was, many were quick to critique Katy's behaviour.
One person took to the comments and penned: "Can't stand her they need to get rid of her and Luke."
Another touched on how Katy had lost their "respect", with a third branded it "so stupid".
Someone else then slammed Katy for acting in the manner she was, with a fifth writing: "Poor @lukebryan he has to deal with her."
But other fans were more complimentary, with one writing: "Catwoman is magnificent!" and another gushing: "Katy is so amazing!!!"
This comes as fans grow increasingly unimpressed with Katy's comments to contestants throughout the season, with many taking to social media to slam the star.
Back in April reports swirled that said Katy might be replaced, which came as fans slammed the singer for being "rude".
"I don’t watch American Idol anymore, but every time I see a clip of it Katy Perry is acting rude towards the performer auditioning. What’s that about?" penned one Twitter user on April 21.
While another added: "Have you recently seen her on American Idol? I caught some episodes. Katy is one nasty and rude person."
With viewers branding her comments to hopefuls auditioning on the show as "rude and condescending", Radar then reported that producers were "rattled by Katy's behavior" with them "considering replacing her to keep the audience happy".
Mirror US reached out to ABC, Disney and Katy's publicists for comment at the time, but received no response.
