After performing at King Charles' Coronation concert, Katy Perry will be enjoying a very exclusive stay inside Windsor Castle.
The Firework singer will be hoping her set goes off with a bang when she takes part in the musical extravaganza on May 7, the day after Charles and Queen Camilla are crowned.
Katy first met the King at an event in Mumbai in 2019 when he was then Prince of Wales and has since become involved in The Princes' Trust, working as an ambassador for The British Asian Trust.
The American pop sensation won't be going back to a normal hotel after performing along with the likes of Take That and Lionel Richie, as she's been given a room inside the royal residence.
Even though she's sung around the world at some of the biggest events in history, Katy is buzzing for the concert and "really excited" for her "wild" sleepover at Windsor.
"I'm really excited… I might be posting a lot because I'm gonna be in a castle, for real. This is wild," she told Extra TV.
The 900-year-old castle has around 1,000 rooms in 484,000 square feet of space - and has hosted extravagant events such as Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie's nuptials to Jack Brooksbank.
Promising her fans she would be giving them "what they deserve very soon", Katy claimed her Coronation experience was "very regal" and that the request aligned with "all her values."
"It was very regal, it was like a cursive I have never seen [before]… I loved it," Katy explained.
"I'm an ambassador to one of his foundations for the British Asian Trust, which primarily focuses on ending child trafficking, which is a huge issue of our time that people don't talk enough about, and it just aligned with all my values… He asked me to sing and it all aligned."
Katy's first meeting with Charles in Mumbai was incredibly memorable, as it's probably the first and last time he ever asked anyone for a selfie.
She has also spent time with Harry and William, having previously joined the King's sons in an awareness video on their Heads Together mental health campaign.
Katy has made it very clear she is a fan of Harry - and once made some very flirty comments on The Graham Norton Show.
Back in 2012, host Graham quizzed the singer on the rumour that Harry had asked for her to join the guest list for the late Queen's diamond jubilee 'by name.'
Katy simply replied: " Prince Harry? He's a hot ginger isn't he."
When comedian Ross Noble quipped that Harry was known for his love of the ladies, Katy joked: "I'd be open to that."
Graham then turned to Girls Aloud star Cheryl and asked her about rumours she had been seen chatting to Harry at the Jubilee Concert after party.
"Get off my man!" Katy jokingly fumed.
Graham then quipped that 'Princess Cheryl' had a ring to it before teasing the wedding would be 'the best ever.'
"I would consider Prince Harry," Cheryl mused before Katy piped up: "And if you don't want her pick me!"
What might make it even more awkward is that Harry is now good friends with Katy's fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
The pair struck up a friendship when they became neighbours when the Sussexes moved to Montecito, California in 2020.
In 2020, the Hollywood actor said: "This guy is so nice, and I think he's got a great sense of humour. I hope he maintains that through this because they're sort of on a pedestal. We're showing real adoration to them in one form or another.
"I try to justify it, because quite frankly, if I'm honest, it's not like me to poke fun at anyone but it is done with affection."
Orlando, who won't be in attendance at the concert, has been gushing over her inclusion at the special occassion.
Speaking about Katy's inclusion, he told ET Online : "My girl's gonna be singing, that's fun. "
The British-born star continued: "I'm not gonna make it there, sadly, but she's representing which is cool. She does those big, historical things. It's wonderful. She sang for the president too. She does that."
Opening up about what might be next on her agenda, Orlando joked: "Who's left? Maybe the pope. So yeah, it's exciting."
There's also another added bit of tension, as Meghan is said to have held a 'grudge' against Perry, who once made a critical comment about the former Suits actress' wedding dress.
During a promotional tour in the US for American Idol, Katy critically said she "would’ve done one more fitting" in relation to the wedding dress Meghan was wearing.
A source told The Daily Star: "Meghan is keenly aware of a comment that Katy Perry made in 2018 about her wedding dress and is notorious for holding a grudge.
"While the comment wasn't meant to be hurtful, Meghan felt under siege at that time and was overwhelmed by arguments with staff, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Thomas Markle."
The remarks still remain raw for Meghan, who is believed to have "held a grudge" after the wedding dress comments.
The source added: "I would not expect to see Meghan and Katy carpooling to PTA meetings anytime in the future!"
