Katie Taylor is back in the gym ahead of a huge year that could include a massive Croke Park fight night.
The Bray Bomber has had a stunning 2022 and picked up huge victories over Amanda Serrano and Karen Elizabeth Carabajal to retain end the year still undisputed world champion.
'KT' began her year in some style when she clashed with the Puerto Rican Serrano at Madison Square Garden in April. On that occasion, Katie made history and retained her world titles by split decision in an all-time classic bout with the 'Real Deal' Serrano.

Taylor rounded off her year with a dominant win over Carabajal. Since that win, a potential 2023 fight in Croke Park has been rumoured, and ahead of what could be a pivotal year in her already legendary career, Taylor has returned to the gym and has gotten back to work.
After Taylor's win over Carbajal in October, Eddie Hearn took to the ring to speak about the need for Taylor to fight in Croke Park in 2023.
“Six years ago, we were here and people laughed at us," Hearn said at the time, " "Katie didn’t think we’d get the opportunity. It’s okay to jump on now, women’s boxing is great now and everyone wants to do it, but for almost thirty years Katie Taylor has been threading paths for others.
“She’s an icon of the sport of boxing. It’s time to return to Ireland now, whoever it is, wherever it is, Ireland has to be next for Katie Taylor.
"She deserves it more than anyone, she’s boxed all over the world, the Irish fans are incredible and they travel everywhere. It’s time to give Ireland a sporting event they will never forget, and that’s the return of their hero Katie Taylor."
Taylor echoed her promoter’s thoughts. Regardless of the opponent, Taylor wants her next fight to take place in 2023 at GAA HQ.
“Absolutely we want to fight at Croke Park,” said Taylor.
"80,000 people, that will be the biggest event in women’s boxing history.
