Katie Price says RSCPA have visited after death of dog Blade

Model and author Katie Price has revealed the RSPCA has paid her a visit after the tragic death of her dog Blade. The 42-year-old revealed the sad passing earlier this week and claimed that someone had deliberately killed the German Shepherd.

Now in a new post she told fans: “Update - RSPCA have been up to my house not having any concerns about my animals and never had but we are trying to put together how blade has been killed and his last steps as this is a deliberate target to kill him.” The Star reported that guard dog Blade had become the seventh pet to die in her care

She went on: “We are trying to put together how Blade has been killed and his last steps as this is a deliberate target to kill him.” Since Katie, 44, shared the news of her latest death a petition calling for her to be banned from owning pets has reached over 30,000 signatures.

In recent years the star has lost five dogs, a horse and her chameleon Marvin. Katie wrote of Blade on Monday: “Words can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today.

Katie first welcomed Blade into her family in 2019 after being held at gunpoint in South Africa during a carjacking. Taking to Instagram, she shared the sad news of his death with her followers as she posted a photo of the pair of them together.

She wrote: “Worlds can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.”

Katie’s latest heartbreak comes just three years after her little French Bulldog Rolo, who she bought for her daughter Princess’ 13th birthday, passed away.

The dog tragically suffocated to death after getting stuck under an armchair at Katie’s home. Katie bought Rolo to try and cheer Princess up after her beloved Alsatian Sparkle was killed. The pedigree pooch was adopted into the Price family in January 2019, but it kept escaping from her West Sussex mansion and running out onto the nearby A24.

Sparkle’s half-sister, Bear, also had three near-death experiences in a matter of weeks on the same road and was fortunately found on the dual carriageway by a policeman. After a run-in with another dog in April 2019, Katie re-homed the £1,000 hound for its own safety, with her rep telling us at the time: “Yes she’s had to give Bear away because he kept running onto the road and he had bitten another dog.”

A petition created to ban Katie from owning any more pets was launched in 2020 after Rolo’s death. It has now reached 30,000 signatures with that number still increasing.
