Katie Price's Mucky Mansion series up in the air after 'novelty wears off'

Katie Price's Mucky Mansion series is reportedly up in the air as the 'novelty of the show wore off'.

The former glamour model, 44, has spent the last few years renovating her once-derelict Sussex property into her dream home.

At one point, she admitted things were so bad she couldn’t even bear the thought of going back there.

Katie brought the home in 2014 for £1.3million and it's thought to now be worth more than £3million.

However, it is understood that the show has lost over 300,000 viewers after raking in almost a million during the first episode of the first series.

Only 393,000 people tuned in to the first episode of the second series.

An insider told The Sun : “A third series was always in the pipeline because the first set of shows did pretty well.

“Now it seems that the novelty value of seeing inside Katie’s house has worn off and the numbers haven’t been great for series two."

Mirror have contacted Channel 4 for comment.

The viewership has dropped drastically since the last series (Channel 4)

The entire concept for the Mucky Mansion show started when Katie went out of her way to give fans a look inside her home in a bid to prove that her mansion wasn't mucky.

However, the plan backfired as fans caught a glimpse at the green water in the swimming pool as well as the piles of trash around the house.

The show took fans on a journey of the epic transformation, which included new paint, flooring, and furniture.

She previously told The Mirror of her home: "I found it hard to come to the house. I had bad memories of it all. I was introduced to someone who wanted to turn it into a wedding venue, but it turned out to be a hoax and he ended up fly-tipping all of my land and made my house derelict inside.

"And then it got burgled and someone turned the shower on, so it leaked and my ceiling collapsed. It looked like a building site, so that’s where it got the name Mucky Mansion."
