Katie Price has launched an OnlyFans channel.
The model and entrepreneur announced the move on Wednesday at a press conference in London.
“I see my OnlyFans channel as a place I can feel secure, confident, empowered and beautiful,” she said.
“Yes there will be some glamorous shots, but most importantly, this will be a place for me to share my world and my adventures with my closest supporters in my own authentic voice.”
Price is an English media personality, model and businesswoman. She initially gained recognition in 1996 for her glamour modelling work with frequent appearances on Page 3 in the British tabloid The Sun, billed as the pseudonym Jordan.
Price appeared on the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, and the following year, she was runner-up in the search for the UK's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2006, she released her debut studio album, A Whole New World, in collaboration with Peter Andre.
Price has starred in her own reality series, including Jordan (2002–2004), Katie & Peter (2004–2009), Katie (2009–2012), Signed by Katie Price (2011), and Katie Price: My Crazy Life (2017–present).
She returned to the ninth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2009, and was the winner of the fifteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.
Price has also released six autobiographical books, eleven novels, and two series of children's books. Her Angel novel series topped The Sunday Times bestseller list.
OnlyFans is an internet content subscription service based in London. Content creators can earn money from users who subscribe to their content—the "fans".
It allows content creators to receive funding directly from their fans on a monthly basis as well as one-time tips and the pay-per-view (PPV) feature. The website has two million content creators and 130 million users.
The service is popular with and commonly associated with sex workers but it also hosts the work of other content creators, such as physical fitness experts, musicians and other creators who post regularly online.
The website has been criticised for hosting child sexual abuse material, though the National Center on Sexual Exploitation reports negligible numbers of incidents in comparison to Facebook. A campaign to investigate OnlyFans began in the US Congress in August 2021. It was reported on 19 August 2021 that from October 2021 onward, OnlyFans would no longer allow sexually explicit material due to pressure from banks, but this decision was reversed six days later due to backlash among users and creators alike.
