Katie Price has hit back after a Channel 5 documentary was aired on Friday, December 30, as she wasn't consulted for the making of it.
'Shameless: The rise and fall of Katie Price' hit screens yesterday evening, which detailed how the 44-year-old TV personality battled through a tough couple of recent years as well as delving into her romance with ex Peter Andre.
She told fans on Instagram that she was in a "very good place" despite a turbulent 12 months which saw her spit from fiance Carl Woods and narrowly avoiding jail for drink-driving. The mum-of-five also said that the documentary failed to show some of the more successful parts of her life and instead focused on the bad, the Mirror reports.
Posting a quick update to her story, the former glamour model said: "Hey everyone, apparently there is a documentary on me tonight, I think it's just started, called Shameless: The rise and fall of me. I just wanted you to know that I've had nothing to do with it.
"The people involved who were meant to be my 'friends', are not my friends and don't know anything about me either.
"I suppose they are going to get old interviews, archives of things, copy and paste, put things together but I just want you to know that a lot of us go up and then down and I am on my way up. I'm not falling at all and I'm in a really good place."
The video, which also saw her son Harvey resting on her shoulder, included a caption which read: "The funny thing is I'm happier than ever, my kids are happy and I have great friends and family around me. I certainly am not falling. This is a reminder to be kind.
"I think the media forget I have created an amazing life for my family from the age of 17 which I bet many others haven't had.
"I have travelled the world, worked hard and just because I am in the public eye I am used to make TV like this which I am nothing to do with.
"Therapy is the best thing I can recommend to anyone who is struggling," she added. "I admit I have had my ups and downs, relationship problems etc. but I am still here, strong and ready for 2023."
She then tuned in to watch the TV show, posting a picture of the opening credits onscreen.
"So funny watching my whole life on TV", she added, tagging Channel 5 in the post.
During part of the documentary, which featured her singing A Whole New World from Aladdin with ex-husband Peter Andre, she also hit out at vocal coach Carrie Grant who analysed her performance.
Katie wrote: "I think you're wrong here @carriegrantsays know you teach people to sing but I did pull this version off, and will continue recording and releasing songs." She added a poll on the same post, asking: "Do you really think I can't sing here live on TV?"
