Katie Price accused of 'exploiting' son Harvey in holiday video

Katie Price has been accused by fans of “exploiting” her son Harvey as she shared a video of him appearing to losing control on a water slide.

Katie, 44, shared a clip on TikTok on Monday which showed her 20-year-old son sliding down a huge blue chute while on holiday in Benidorm. In the video, Harvey appears to lose control halfway down the slide as his body turns sideways and his head repeatedly bangs against the side.

Some fans questioned why the former glamour model would post the clip and accused her of “exploiting” her child, as she appeared to use it to promote her upcoming Channel 4 documentary, Katie Price: Trauma and Me. One follower said Harvey “looked scared to death.”

Another asked: “Why would she post this?”

While a third said: “Are we ignoring the fact he was using his head as a brake from half way down?”

Harvey, the son of Katie and former Manchester United footballer Dwight Yorke, is partially blind and suffers from a genetic condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome. This can cause learning difficulties and behavioural challenges, including emotional outbursts and physical aggression, according to the NHS.

Not everyone appeared to be angered by the video, however, as some felt Harvey would have enjoyed the ride down despite hitting his head. One fan wrote: “Would love to see Harvey’s reaction to this bet he loved it.”

Another said: “Harv living his best life.”

“God I love that boy,” a third wrote.

In Katie Price: Trauma And Me, Katie's family say they believe her "downfall” and “mental health [issues]” were caused by the backlash she received after splitting from ex-husband Peter Andre. The documentary is set to air on Thursday, 8th September on Channel 4 at 9:00pm.
