Katie Piper gives a smile as she's seen for the first time since emergency eye surgery

Katie Piper looked in good spirits as she headed out for work on Wednesday after undergoing emergency eye surgery last week.

The Loose Women panelist, 38, was rushed to hospital after her husband noticed a black spot in her eye.

Katie's condition worsened and she ended up needed an operation, but is now, thankfully, on the mend.
