Coronation Street favourite Katie McGlynn dazzled as she stepped out to celebrate a special birthday with her nearest and dearest. The Rochdale actress was flooded with compliments as she marked turning 29.
Katie, who last year competed in Strictly Come Dancing and was partnered with pro-dancer Gorka Marquez, looked lovely in lilac coords. She teamed her matching smart shorts and blazer with a white top and heels as she headed to the The Black Friar pub in Salford.
The star, who won hearts as machinist Sinead Osbourne in Corrie, was joined by her former co-stars Lisa George who plays Sinead's aunt Beth Sutherland, Alexandra Mardell who played Emma Brooker until April and Rob Mallard who plays Sinead's widowed husband Daniel. She beamed from ear to ear as she posed for snaps with her Weatherfield pals and with her best friend Lee Bennett.

Katie, who played Sinead from 2013 until 2019, shared snaps from her big night on her Instagram and she cheered: "Last year of my 20’s here we go! Had a beautiful evening @theblackfriarsalford with my nearest and dearest #birthdaygirl #29andfeelingfine #hbd."
The birthday best wishes were led by Gorka who messaged: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTNER!!! have kokki day." Alexandra exclaimed: "Gorjjjjjjjj gal!! HBD McGlynn." Elle Mulvaney, who plays the soap's Amy Barlow, told her: "Happy birthday gorgeous!!" and Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson said: "Happy birthday babe."
Katie, who has been putting viewers of BBC's Morning Live through their paces with summer Strictly Fitness sessions, showcased her gym-honed figure in her chic outfit. And she showcased her new blonde long bob haircut. katiesgalaxyxox told her: "You look absolutely gorgeous."

Katie recently revealed her new shorter haircut while going back to blonde after a spell as a brunette while playing troublemaker Becky Quentin in the Channel Four soap Hollyoaks. She rocked her chic new do at the premiere of The Railway Children Return at Keighley Picture House Cinema earlier this month.
Katie played Sinead in Corrie until the much-loved character tragically passed away after fighting cervical cancer shortly after her wedding day and welcoming a baby boy with Daniel. She previously played pupil Scout Allen in the BBC One Rochdale school drama Waterloo Road which is returning to our screens starring her former co-star Kym Marsh.
Taking to Instagram to mark her Hollyoaks exit in March after playing conspiracy theorist Becky she wrote: "Becky Quentin, over and out! @HollyoaksOfficial. "It’s been an absolute pleasure playing Becky and getting my teeth into something so different and gritty!"
As an actor, to be able to portray someone that has so much likeness to extremely current global issues from conspiracy theories to anti-vaxxers, coronavirus and sinophobia… I really hope the storyline has helped raise some important issues and helps people see how easy it is for someone to be sucked into this whole world of fake news and conspiracy!"
She added: "Thank you to the entire cast and crew for being so unbelievably amazing and welcoming me with open arms! I will miss you all, but other exciting opportunities beckon…"
