RTE star Kathryn Thomas has revealed she is sporting a black eye after her 18-month-old accidentally hit her.
The radio and TV host is filling in for Ray D’Arcy on RTE Radio 1 this week and revealed to listeners she was wearing a lot more makeup than usual in the studio.
She revealed her 18-month-old daughter Grace had accidentally hit her with a metal fire truck toy, which gave her a black eye.

Speaking to listeners, she said: “She got me right under the left eye, which is now black and blue.
“And even the strongest concealer is not able to hide it, but thankfully it is on the mend. She didn’t take my eye out.
“We were just chatting about the most dangerous little cretins when they are let loose, like somehow their little fists or feet tend to get you in the most sensitive of areas.
“And then their little innocent faces looking back at you,” she added.
