According to recent reports, Spotify may be considering a huge new deal to sign up a new royal podcast with Kate Middleton, just days after Meghan Markle's 12 episode Archetypes pod was dropped.
The Princess of Wales is rumoured to be the next royal in line for her own show on the streaming service after Meghan and Prince Harry's £18m deal with Spotify in 2020 through their Archewell media firm was recently dropped.
Despite Meghan bagging Top Entertainment Podcast for Archetypes just last month at the Gracie Awards, there has allegedly been a mutual agreement to part ways with Spotify and Archewell will be looking for other partners for future audio projects.
Yesterday evening, the News International reported about "speculations that Spotify could sign a mega deal with Prince William's charming wife Kate Middleton" which is a move that would be likely to "surprise" royal fans, the Scottish Daily Express reports.
It was also noted that the Princess of Wales has previously taken part in Giovanni Fletcher's Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in 2020 where she got candid about her own struggles during pregnancy and as a mother.
The Princess opened up about her morning sickness and the guilt she had felt as she tried to balance royal duties along with bringing up her three kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Speaking of the mother-of-three, Giovanni later said: "I just think she's absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see what she does for Early Years and the work that she continues to do because there's so much passion there.
"She's so aware of things that are going on and only good things can come from that."
However, the News International had no sources quoted in the article and the rumours very much remain speculation at this point.
The alleged rivalry between the two sisters-in-law has kept people interested for years with the Duke of Sussex confirming some minor disputes between the two in his bombshell memoir Spare.
Even if they aren't considering a podcast, Kate and William have stepped up their social media game in recent months with a series of behind-the-scenes footage of their lives on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
One clip which was uploaded to their YouTube channel even gave a sneak peak inside their royal Kensington Palace home as they got ready to attend the King's historical Coronation last month.
Speaking to the Daily Mail's Palace Confidential show, royal correspondent Rebecca English said: "The Waleses have been looking at this for a while and they have really ramped it up since Easter - how do we tell our story to younger people and how do we engage them and show people what we are doing?
"Not just us as a family but the work we are doing and the difference we are trying to make whether it is homelessness, mental health, education, or the environment."
