Kate Middleton stuns in red amid Meghan and Harry's Frogmore cottage eviction drama

The Princess of Wales stunned in red as she accompanied Prince William to the St David’s Day parade.

Kate and Prince William were all smiles as they enjoyed the afternoon speaking to the troops at the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at Combermere Barracks, in Windsor. William also gave a speech to the crowd as Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

The future Queen wore a statement red coat, seemingly a nod to St David’s Day and beamed after being gifted a bouquet by a young girl in traditional Welsh costume. This marked William's first visit to the Welsh Guards since becoming Colonel of the Regiment.

William said in his speech that he was “honoured and delighted” to be joining them but added he was “sorry” his father couldn’t be there to join in. King Charles, who had previously held the role since 1975, had treasured it and held it “so dear” according to his eldest son.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge had their heads held high and put on a united front at the military event after the latest drama between the Firm and Harry and Meghan. It's been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes former home, Frogmore Cottage, will be given to Prince Andrew.

The disgraced Duke of York stepped back from royal duties after sex abuse allegations and revelations over his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to light.

The couple were reportedly left "stunned" by Charles' controversial decision to evict them from five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, and two other royals have also been left "appalled", according to one royal biographer. This means the Sussexes will no longer have a place to stay during trips to the UK.

According to Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind the biography of Harry and Meghan, Finding Freedom, the King's decision came after Harry released his controversial memoir Spare in January.

He claims the couple was told the property was needed for "someone else" and that relations between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the family was at "an all-time low".
