The Princess of Wales could have established a new "blueprint" for royal visits with her recent trip to Italy, according to royal expert Emily Andrews. Kate spent two days in Reggio Emilia in Italy learning about their world-leading approach to the early years and this was the Princess's first overseas visit since 2023. It was also a solo trip and Emily believes that this might be the new norm for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
"I think this trip is interesting because it's definitely a blueprint for the future because it's a two-day trip and it ticked off a lot of her interest points," she explained on her podcast, Catching Up With The Royals. "But we haven't actually seen William and Catherine together on a tour since the Platinum Jubilee tour to the Caribbean."
