The Princess of Wales shunned a tiara for an floral headpiece at the Coronation - but wowed in her dazzling dress and robe.
Kate turned up at Westminster Abbey ahead of the historic spectacle wearing a formal robe alongside an Alexander McQueen dress in ivory silk crepe with silver bullion and thread work embroidery featuring rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs.
The robe was worn at the request of King Charles and Queen Camilla, while Kate used her go-to designer McQueen for her gown, with the flowers representing the four home nations.

To the surprise of many, she didn't wear a tiara and instead opted for a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen Headpiece with silver bullion, crystal and silver thread work three-dimensional leaf embroidery.
Meanwhile, Kate also paid subtle nods to Princess Diana and the late Queen in her jewellery choices.
She wore Diana's pearl and diamond earrings, which she has been pictured wearing many times before in the past.
Meanwhile, paying tribute to the late Queen, she wore the George VI Festoon Necklace. The necklace was made in 1950 at the request of King George VI for his daughter the now late Queen.
Kate's outfit was mirrored by her daughter Princess Charlotte, who also wore an Alexander McQueen dress and cape in ivory silk crepe with ivory satin stitch embroidery featuring rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs to signify the four nations.
She wore a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen Headpiece silver bullion, crystal and silver thread work, similar to the one worn by her mother.
After arriving, Kate took her seat in the Abbey with William, Charlotte and Louis as oldest son Prince George performed his page of honour duties for his grandfather the King.
