Kate Hudson reveals reality of bringing up three kids with three different fathers

Glass Onion actress Kate Hudson has revealed the reality of bringing up three kids with three different dads.

The daughter of Hollywood legend, Goldie Hawn, 43, shares 18-year-old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, 11-year-old son Bingham with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy and 4-year-old daughter Rani with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

In a recent interview, Kate said she wasn't concerned with convention, adding she was proud of the way her blended family were getting on with things.

"It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we're killing it," she mused.

"The unit that I've created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it's ours."

"I'm not interested in forcing some conventional idea of love or marriage. My goal in life is that I want to feel love and I want to give love, but I'm also practical, so, one day at a time. I work really hard at relationships because I like them, reports The Sunday Times.

Kate's mum Goldie has been in a relationship with actor Kurt Russell for years.

Kurt isn't Kate's biological father although she has previously stated she considers him to be.

Praising the couple for the way they've brought up her and brother Oliver, Kate said the acting icons were doing an "amazing job".

Kate married Black Crowes frontman Chris in December 2000 before welcoming son Ryder in 2004.

However, they split up a couple of years later, finalising their divorce in 2007.

The actress began dating Muse musician Matt in 2010, before announcing their engagement in 2011.

The former couple welcome son Bingham later the same year, but in 2014 announced they'd decided to call it a day.

Kate started dating her daughter Rani's dad Danny in 2016, but the pair had known each other for 20 years.

When asked if she was thinking about tying the knot with the musician, the star said they were in "no hurry' to get hitched as she praised her partner for being a great dad and stepdad.

Kate never knew her own father, musician Bill Hudson, and once described their relationship as “a 41-year-old issue”.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “I had personal struggles or familial situations that were challenging.

“[They] kind of prepared me for my future and my success. I had a lot of personal trauma I never really allowed myself to be OK about, or recognise as being traumatic.

I’d probably tell my younger self, ‘It’s OK that you’re hurting… you’re OK’.

“Maybe that would have softened some things in my life a bit along the way. I’d give myself permission to give myself a big hug.”
