Kate Garraway will miss another week of Good Morning Britain as her husband Derek Draper remains in hospital.
Derek fell ill after contracting coronavirus in March 2020. Kate has helped care for the former political lobbyist through his ongoing health battle.
The former political advisor returned home but has been unable to fully communicate and has issues with mobility and has struggled with major health problems. Last week, it was reported that Derek is now back in hospital, after taking a "very serious turn for the worse".

Kate, who was due to present GMB, is remaining by his side. Addressing her departure from GMB, Ben Shephard said: "We are missing a member of the team, aren’t we?"
Charlotte Hawkins added: “We are, yeah. So Kate’s taken some time out to be with Derek at the moment so we are sending lots of love. Lots of you have been in touch with messages of support, so we wish him well.”
According to the Evening Standard, Kate will now miss a second week of GMB. No date has been given for her return.
A representative for ITV told the Evening Standard: “Kate is taking some time off work over the next few days, and is hoping to be back to her normal presenting duties as soon as possible.”
