Kate Garraway has spoken of a fear over "jinxing" her marriage after a worried fan got in touch.
The Good Morning Britain presenter has spent the past year looking after her husband, Derek Draper, who continues to suffer with severe long-term effects after falling ill with Covid-19 in March 2020. He still receives round-the-clock care at their home in North London, and spends much of his time on bedrest.
To support Derek's recovery, Kate has grown a garden, which she also says has been therapeutic for her since Derek became unwell. A special area of their garden filled with plants was featured on ITV's Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh on Tuesday.

Sharing the idea behind the garden on Instagram on Tuesday, Kate said: "It started out as a kind of therapy - gardening & nature helped distract me when life felt on the edge and then, thanks to the team @loveyourgarden.
"I took it a step further & turned our garden into a beautiful factory for physical healing too. They even helped me carry Derek outside so he could see the fruits of our labour too - a very emotional moment."
Fans were quick to commend Kate for her efforts, but one said she was worried about her wedding rings. Taking to Twitter, a woman named Valerie said: "I’m worried she might lose or damage those beautiful rings. Am I the only person who takes off my engagement ring when cooking or gardening? #loveyourgarden"
Kate replied: "I know what you mean - but have never taken it off & now fear it’ll be a jinx if I do - silly really! Glad you are enjoying the programme xxx"
