Kate Garraway was shut down by a Tory MP on Thursday's Good Morning Britain after she interrupted the politician mid-interview.
During the latest instalment of the ITV breakfast show, Kate and her co-host Ben Shephard spoke to Michelle Donelan live from Wiltshire.
The duo were keen to speak to the former education minister about the Lionesses' challenge to Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss over making football accessible for girls in school.
However, mother-of-two Kate was scolded by Ms Donelan when she turned her attention to her backing Liz Truss to be the next Prime Minister.
She said: "You say you're backing Liz Truss.... because there's been a lot of big statements from both sides, there's been a lot of sort of woolliness of how things can happen and where facts and numbers have been put in, they've then had to be changed, and complete U-turns have had to be made by Liz Truss as well.
"Are you all now deciding on gut? Or are are you looking at the polls and thinking, 'Liz Truss is most likely to win', so I might as well back a winner?" Kate asked.
Ms Donelan responded: "So, Liz Truss has never changed her mind on the core policies and the direction of travel of the future administration under her leadership should she win..." but Kate quickly butted in.
"Sorry to interrupt you but you know, Rishi Sunak would say that he hasn't made changes on core policies. The detail of what she's announced, the precious detail of specifics, she has had to change," Kate claimed.
Michelle quickly fired back: "Well if you let me finish, so what I was saying is the core point of what she is promising is that she will help people through the cost of living by reducing taxes.
"You can't tax people through a cost of living crisis, you also can't grow the economy by increasing taxes. We've got the highest tax burden in 70 years."
The moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers tuning in at home as they took to Twitter to comment.
"Kate is awful at challenging guests, she needs to chill! #gmb @GMB," one person said.
Another tweeted: "Kate; "sorry for interrupting you" No you aint! #GMB."
Someone else fumed: "Kate used to be quite a decent presenter, but she’s infuriating these days. Constant interrupting & doing a Madeley by making stories all about her #gmb."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub.
