Kate Garraway addressed Good Morning Britain viewers' fears as they spoke to a reporter in Ukraine this morning (February 25).
The programme's chief correspondent Richard Gaisford was back on the ITV news show on Friday, broadcasting live from Kyiv.
He spoke to Kate and her co-host Ben Shephard about the on-going and constantly changing situation in the country as the Russian invasion continues into a second day.
During Richard's report earlier this morning, there was disruption as bomb sirens began to sound.

The reporter was talking to the hosts at the time as he was forced to put his protective equipment on.
"As we talk, the air raid sirens are going off here in Kyiv - becoming something of a regular pattern here now," he explained.
"Just letting the population know that there is a threat where they can to take shelter and to obviously make an assessment for themselves and their own security."
A concerned Kate then asked: "Richard, when we hear those air raid sirens and I know our viewers are worried for you. Are you safe?
"Should you be running to take shelter? What precautions have you taken?"
"Yeah, we have taken a number of precautions but we have got our - in fact, it's just being passed to me," he replied as he put on a helmet.
"We have got our personal protective equipment to put on. We also have our vests, should the need arise. It is a tricky time for many, obviously, in the city who don't have this kind of equipment to hand.
"As I look out now, there are still people walking through the street, walking the dogs."
Kate then jumped in and told him: "We're going to let you get to safety, Richard, and we'll get you back."
A Richard headed off screen, Kate added: "You get yourself safe," before Ben added: "Ever the professional."
Returning to speak to Richard a short while later, the presenter addressed viewers' concerns about Richard's safety.
"Richard, we've seen footage of explosions and damaged buildings, reports of destroyed bridges, you'be been there to witness a lot of things...
"We're very concerned for you as is everyone watching from home and I see you've got good equipment on, what's like their now?"
Richard explained more on the air raid siren warnings they had heard earlier this morning.
"That means we've put the protective equipment on," he said. "There is a large number of explosions around the outskirts of the city but it's not clear exactly what they are."
But GMB viewers were still expressing their concerns.
