Kate Ferdinand suffers 'very testing' weekend after dealing with son's tantrums

Kate Ferdinand has admitted she had a 'very testing' weekend with her son, Cree, after a number of 'tantrums'.

The mum, 31, shares the two-year-old with ex-England star, Rio Ferdinand, who she is expecting her second child with.

Kate often posts adorable snaps of the toddler on Instagram, but on Saturday confessed she was glad it was Cree's bedtime.

Sharing a photo of her son with his back to the camera, she wrote: "Hold Mummy's hand please... 'NO' and walks cross-armed everywhere.

"This boy is the cutest, funniest boy but the tantrums we've had this weekend have been very testing. I'm glad it's bed time lol!

"Even Tate and Tia needed a break after our trip out on Saturday morning. BUT in the next breath he's been so funny and sweet. Kids eh? You don't know whether you're coming or going."

Kate later posted a snap of her stepchildren Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 11, larking about in the park with Cree and their dad Rio.

She captioned the snap: "Dad's home from from a trip to Australia and Renz home for weekend. Lovely full house," followed by a heart emoji.

Kate became a step-mum to Rio's kids after she'd married the former footballer in September 2019 and moved into his family home in Bromley, South London.

However, the TOWIE star admitted she found the transition from living on her own to being a full-time mum challenging.

Recalling how she'd "sobbed" her heart out as she opened up about her past feelings on her Blended podcast, Kate said: "I wasn't a biological mum. I think it was our first Mother's Day - maybe I'd been living here about six months, something like that.

"And although I wasn't a biological mum I kind of felt like I'd taken on the mum role. For me, going from living at home on my own to taking the kids to school, cooking them dinner, I felt like a mum."

Speaking directly to her husband, she continued: "I really thought I might get a card from you, and I didn't get a card from you.

"I felt bad to express that in front of you because you guys had lost your mum, and the kids have lost their mum. So I just went in my room and I just sobbed my heart out - seriously."

"And then I felt selfish for wanting a card - how dare I want a card? So anyone that's kind of new in this situation might feel like that because it's a weird one - 'I wasn't a biological parent so how could I expect that? But I felt like a mum."
