Kate Ferdinand 'sobbed in her room' after Mother's Day snub from Rio and stepkids

Former TOWIE star Kate Ferdinand has revealed how she "sobbed her heart out" on her first Mother's Day with husband Rio and his children.

The 31-year-old married the former footballer in 2019, becoming a stepmother to his children; Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 11. Rio tragically lost his first wife and mother to his kids, Rebecca Ellison, to breast cancer in 2015.

Speaking on her Blended podcast alongside her husband, Kate reflected on that first Mother's Day the couple were together, saying she felt upset when she didn't receive a card or a gift as a sign of appreciation from her new family.
