Kate Ferdinand gives fans 'palpitations' as she shows off baby bump on luxury holiday with Rio

Kate Ferdinand fans say they were left having 'palpitations' as they scrolled through some of her holiday snaps. The former The Only Way is Essex star took to Instagram with some images from her family getaway with Rio, their son Cree and her step-children Tate and Tia.

The pregnant mum-of-one shared a number of photos from the lavish holiday with one seeing her posing in a white bikini and straw hat. Kate could be seen cradling her blossoming baby bump weeks after announcing the gender of her and Rio's unborn child. Kate and former Manchester United star Rio announced that they were expecting their second child earlier in the year.

Kate, who is stepmother to husband Rio's children Tate, 13, Lorenz, 15, and Tia, 11, shared the news in January on social media alongside a video showcasing her bump. "We’ve been praying for you…" she wrote with the happy news coming several months after she suffered a devastating miscarriage.

And weeks after sharing their special news with the world, Kate and Rio, 44, have confirmed they'll be adding a baby girl to their growing brood. Speaking on her Blended podcast alongside Rio, Kate revealed that they decided to throw a gender reveal but Rio told how it all went wrong after Kate ended up choking on a cupcake.

But back to the loved-up couple's recent break and other photos shared by Kate saw her posing alongside her husband for a smiling selfie in the sea while another showed Tia cuddling up to her step-mum, resting her head on her bump. Captioning the holiday photos, Kate wrote: "Had some time out with the family & it was so needed. Precious memories made in a place we love. Feeling very grateful."

She added: "P.s how we managed to keep Cree's hand sand & water free I will never know, but our little solider still had the best time," referring to their little boy's recent 'freak accident' which saw the toddler left with a broken bone in his finger and needing nail bed surgery.

Sharing the new Instagram post on her story, Kate added: "I've been quiet as we have been enjoying some family time away, a few pictures from our week of making memories."

And the comments section was quickly being flooded with messages from fans, with some worried after watching Tate playing with his little brother, lifting him up and down as if he was a weight. @nicolaverity10 said: "My anxiety of how close to the balcony them lifts are." @fredandflo posted: "The balcony one id of been going ‘be careful’ every time he lifted him I’m sweating watching," with crying laughing emojis.

@nmulvey wrote: "Omg so [close] to the balcony banister..." @rachyj82 replied: "Yes this is giving me palpitations too." But others were quick to step in and defend Kate. @lexihitch said: "They were nowhere near. Just a funny camera angle." @emsjess added: "He’s clearly no where near, he isn’t bothers his head might touch them, it’s just the angle, but it’s obvious he’s well clear!!"

Meanwhile, fans of the Ferdinands were quick to gush over the selection of holiday snaps. @sue6893 wrote: "What a fab mum you are. Such lovely natural pictures." @michebrough shared: "You look blooming lovely." @libbylavendercotswolds commented: "You look amazing! Gorgeous family." @dear_mama_zzz added: "Lovely pictures, lovely family."
