Kasabian has set down the gauntlet at TRNSMT to see if Scots could be a better crowd than they have previously experienced.
The band are now fronted by Sergio Pizzorno after former frontman Tom Meighan was sacked in 2020 after it emerged he had assaulted his partner, Vikki Ager.
The Sergio-fronted group played Eden Sessions last week and have now challenged the TRNSMT crowd to a gig off.
Ahead of they’re main stage performance, they asked: “The energy last weekend was insane!
Could this weekend be even bigger? MOSH PIT, MOSH PIT, MOSH PIT.”
It’s thought that Serge might actually get down and dirty singing in the pit at the front as he has done at previous festivals.
The band definitely hope to get a better reception than singer John Mayer whose new promo video was shown on a big screen behind the big stage at the fest and received large boos from the crowd who are clearly fans of his ex Taylor Swift.
Taylor re-released her 2010 Speak Now album featuring her Dear John diss track.
