BENGALURU: Although assembly elections are a year away, two high profile constituencies — Shikaripura in Shivamogga and Varuna in Mysuru — are already in focus as they involve the prospects of former chief ministers BS Yediyurappa and Siddaramaiah.
Insiders say Yediyurappa is likely to yield Shikaripura, his constituency, to his younger son BY Vijayendra if the BJP leadership gives its assent. Siddaramaiah meanwhile may replace his younger son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, as the Congress candidate from Varuna.
