NEW DELHI: A week-long training camp in Kodagu district by right-wing Bajrang Dal where it reportedly trained more than 100 participants in use of air guns has stoked controversy, with CM Basavaraj Bommai stating on Monday that “no illegal activities” will be allowed on the state’s soil.
Based on a complaint lodged by Ibrahim, a member of Gonikoppal chapter of Popular Front of India (PFI), district police have launched a probe into the alleged incident. Bajrang Dal denied breaking the law as air guns do not attract provisions of Arms Act.
Following the controversy, Bommai said that the state government will “not allow anything which happens illegally”.
